- In my free time, I enjoy playing the drums, listening to various types of music that capture a deeper meaning related to the human experience. I also enjoy motivating and encouraging people to live a positive life. I have recently discovered the value of walking and jogging each and every day as well as riding my bike.
Impact of Sociology:
- Early in my career, I taught sociology courses regarding issues and topics such as Race and Ethnic Relations, Social Stratification, Social Problems, Urban Sociology, Dynamics of Organizations, and Sociology of Work. All of these experiences have greatly helped me to connect and advise corporations and businesses about how to resolve their employee relations issues.
Influence of Human Resources Management:
- Within the field of human resources, I have worked as a Human Resources Generalist, Affirmative Action and EEO Officer, but my passion is within training and development. I continue to train and coach employees, supervisors, managers, and executives mainly in Philadelphia and its suburbs. Over the past three years, I have utilized the Internet and video conferencing technology to professionally coach and train workers in various locations across the United States.
Community Life:
- Within my neighborhood, I have a passion for connecting with my neighbors. It is exciting to encourage young people and adults in order to undergird and support them in trying to improve their lives or to live a productive life.
- While many people do not take the time to encourage others, it is an endeavor that can be very rewarding if people understand the rewards which you can receive back. People in my neighborhood are wonderful people who do not forget when you encourage them or help them. In return for assisting others, my neighbors have helped me to hang up ceiling fans as well as start and maintain a flower garden.
Professional Life:
- Professionally, I have been training and coaching people over the past fifteen years within my business, Snowell Consulting Inc. This business is one of my passions because I enjoy working with people who just simply need a good teacher or a good coach. I sincerely believe in mentoring people since I have had many wonderful mentors throughout my life.
